  • Optimization of production rate targets based on cross-well interference
  • Intranet Project Management
  • Multiple operating platforms
Operating Platform

Operating Platform

PolyGon is available as a SAAS (Software-As-A-Service) and is compatible with all operating system that supports web browsing.

The user may use the service online (Cloud version) or via corporate intranet (On-premise version).

The software components are balanced between a thin client side and a remote server, which usually runs on a powerful multi-core workstation and handles the majority of the processing, modelling, recognition, and configuration.

This allows users to securely access their data from anywhere across a server network and to perform complex data processing calculations even on low-end computers.

INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION

PolyGon is developed as a Client-Server solution that has a web interface and is available as a cloud service (SAAS) or as an on-premise network within the organization.

PolyGon also provides the on-premises installation option.

PolyGon Data Security

PolyGon Data Security

The user data is stored in an encoded format and is secured against failures through cloud mirroring. The connection between Client device and the remote server uses secure protocols and data encoding.

User Interface

User Interface

An intuitive web interface allows the user to easily navigate through the software and includes a built-in video assistant to help new users learn the software.

Fluid Properties

Fluid Properties– PVT Model

PolyGon supports:

  • multiple PVT black-oil and modified black oil correlations
  • linear and non-linear regression of the existing models to achieve a better match to the laboratory data
  • external PVT models in popular text formats.
Relative Permeabilities

Relative Permeabilities – SCAL Model

PolyGon software supports the Corey 2-phase relative permeability model and 3-phase model based on the Stone I, Stone II and Baker models.

PolyGon Data Centers

Users can select PolyGon Server from several Data Centers across the world depending on their location and customize the computational power of PolyGon Server based on the processing needs.

Well Sketch

Well Sketch

PolyGon supports a wide range of well geometry for recalculating pressure variations from the measuring depth to the reference depth, using popular correlations for multiphase flow and the wellbore trajectory.

Map Facility

Map Facility

PolyGon allows a user to build a 2D model for each layer, including the formation top, thickness, permeability, porosity, formation compressibility, fluid saturation, wells locations and trajectories, faults and boundaries.

Data Processing — Detrending

The same filtering methods are used to simulate the pressure/rate data history trends.

Pressure Pulse-Code Decomposition

Pulse-Code Decomposition (PCT)

PolyGon provides the advanced facility to model and automatically fit the field data of the bottom-hole pressure-pulse response to the multi-cycle flow rate variation in the offset well.

This facility substantially outperforms the conventional analytical cross-well response fitting in case of contaminated pressure readings and extends the cross-well pressure interference testing to a wider range of applications, including those when flowrate cycling is not periodic and/or when receiving wells record the pressure under flowing conditions.

Multi-well Deconvolution

Multi-well Deconvolution (MDCV)

PolyGon provides the proprietary MDCV engine to retrieve unit-rate transient response for the wells or cross-well intervals, which can be further interpreted by conventional PTA in terms of quantitative assessment of reservoir properties in cross-well areas. It also provides the additional control over the deconvolution process.

MULTI-LAYER FULL-FIELD 2D+PRESSURE DIFFUSION MODEL

Numerical 2D+ modelling

PolyGon features multi-layer numerical PEBI-grid 2D+ pressure-rate modeling facility.

It provides computation of arbitrary liquid-control, pressure-control or combinational calculations of reservoir pressure and/or well flowrates over a single-layer or multiple-layer reservoir. Each layer is represented by 2D PEBI-grid, with variable formation tops, effective thicknesses, absolute permeability, porosity, saturation and big range of options on well trajectories, fractures, faults, boundaries geometries and boundary flow conditions.

Pressure and Rate Transient Analysis

Pressure and Rate Transient Analysis

Conventional slope-based analysis or auto-fitting provides a manual assessment of basic properties of the various diffusion models:

  • - Wellbore Storage: constant, variable;
  • - Well: vertical, limited entry, slanted, fractured, horizontal;
  • - Reservoir: homogeneous, dual porosity, dual layer, radial composite, linear composite, multi-layer;
  • - Boundaries: infinite, closed, faults.
Mul-Rate Step-Response

Mul-Rate Step-Response

PolyGon provides interpretation facility for multi-rate step-response test which is normally used when shutting down the well is not technically or economically viable (flow noise response).
